Crash (2004) movie - Matt Dillon Thandie Newton Car Fire Scene

Here we see them managing to bring to each character and give him or her life making use of the actors who make them appear like actual people with real personalities as opposed to those scribbled out in a script.

In the making of the movie, it employs a sound with a contemporary pitch which had an advanced effect in each scene.

This made it possible to give the film a modern time frame. It generally made the viewer feel able to place their body within the movie.

An example can be seen in the sense where the black car thieves who used offensive words to convey a message to one another.

As they get away the nature and genre of music that they play that being hip-hop and country western also goes to show how music goes a long way into explaining and defining the different cultures and the stereotyping.

The soundtrack also had a significant twist to the theme and race in the movie. It was not only the excellent acting and good plot follow up that made the film a success.

As it starts, we are indirect to the headlights of a car. This had no ulterior motive but rather to draw the reader to the movies as opposed to wander off.

In the film. The cinematography was delicate more so factoring in the preponderance as seen in the film as being delicate here director gets to choose the spotlight in addition to a close-up tune making the film rare and feeling adverse.

In the movie, we get to see some extreme scene that illustrates several actions packed filming that was attempting to heighten the end.

This was seen in the case where the carjacking was a character Terrence Howard, and Cameron in the police chase scenes that resulted in the climax of the entire production, this was essential as the pulse of the movie had to instigate a feeling of thrill and hype.

In the film production, there were some viewpoint shots that had to bring the viewer into the film. This was essential as an acting trait meant to reduce the distance between the audience and the actors, the film had made excellent and practical use of these techniques.

The bottom line was that the movie was bold enough to spot stereotypes, for they were not vague but preferably all of them were fake.

As opposed to the well-employed use of the cinematography, the film had a profound purpose in editing, camera angles, soundtrack, excellent and exciting acting and followed up with the story.

Crash is a very watchable and well-constructed piece of work, and a potential script masterclass: but its daringly supercharged fantasies of racial paranoia and humanist redemption are not to be taken too seriously.

Peter Bradshaw. The script is clever, the racial theme is worthy of Newsnight, and the editing just sublime. James Christopher. Set in a simmering cauldron of racial tensions where subtle nuance can cut as deep as unambiguous hostility, it's a powerful drama about the often bewildering contradictions that underlie human behaviour.

Jim Schembri. Ultimately, Crash succeeds in spite of itself. Its color war starts to feel obvious and schematic. Its coincidences and cliches become like a pileup on the freeway, but there it is -- you find yourself rubbernecking and can't manage to look away.

Joanne Kaufman. The idea that every protagonist must eventually depend on an antagonist for help is a bit too much to digest, even when the cast is as large and exceptional as this one.

Mike Massie. What makes Haggis' film so relevant now is the gray areas it plumbs, the degrees and deep-seeded complexity of racism and its downstream effects.

Tom Meek. This isn't a film for everyone. Crash demands your attention and really makes you think. It's a special film that is clearly among the best I have seen this year.

Micheal Compton. Thought provoking, compelling, intelligent, coherently crafted and reality based and laced. Look for Paul Haggis and his cast of characters to be on everyone's lips come Oscar Debbie Lynn Elias.

It's told with a searing panache that comes to a boil as characters are forced to confront their own prejudices. Kaleem Aftab. Issues are raised and confronted head-on and prejudices are revealed simultaneously as the movie deftly assembles its intricately plotted narrative jigsaw.

View All Critic Reviews Mar 26, While it's heart is in the right place, and it has some truly fantastic scenes, it suffers from over sentimentality and a lack of subtly that it so desperately needs.

The characters are more like caricatures of specific archetypes that it feels almost comical at points, though at others it feels genuine and powerful.

Matthew M Super Reviewer. Mar 09, I think this won the Best Picture Oscar awhile back, and it totally deserved it.

This film is just so indescribably entertaining, with great characters and storyline. Definitely check this out.
