The warrior Deathstalker is sent by a witch on a quest to find a chalice, an amulet, and a sword, two of which are held by the wicked sorcerer Munkar Bernard Erhard.

Deathstalker finds the sword almost immediately, which has been hidden by the witch in a cave guarded by an ogre and an imp. The imp Salmaron reveals himself to be a thief cursed by the witch and aids Deathstalker in defeating the ogre.

Deathstalker removes the curse from Salmaron and the thief agrees to accompany Deathstalker on his journey. Sword in hand, Deathstalker sets out to Munkar's castle to gain the remaining objects of power.

On his journey, Deathstalker learns of a tournament from Oghris Richard Brooker , a charming warrior.

Munkar has invited warriors across the land to participate in contests until a winner is determined - the winner will inherit Munkar's kingdom.

One night along the way to the tournament, the pair meet Kaira, a defiant female warrior Lana Clarkson who wears only a G-string and a cloak.

Later that night Deathstalker has sex with her. Salmaron looks on with amusement at the pair. Kaira joins the group on their journey the next morning.

Munkar reveals to his assistant that his true agenda is for the warriors to fight each other to the death until only a weakened survivor remains for Munkar to kill.

This would remove all threats to his rule. Arriving at Munkar's castle, Deathstalker and the other participants gather in Munkar's banquet room the night before the tournament.

The warriors are invited to get drunk and rape Munkar's harem slaves, including Princess Codille Barbi Benton. Oghris connects with one slave girl while Kaira keeps Deathstalker to herself.

Deathstalker rescues Princess Codille, briefly, but Munkar takes her back. Munkar transforms his assistant into the likeness of the Princess and sends him to kill the hero; when Deathstalker attempts to rape Codille, he discovers that the woman is not all "woman" and sends her away.

Kaira finds the assassin; assuming she is the real Codille, she is tragically killed by the assassin in a sword fight after Munkar's disguise spell wears off.

The night after the first day of the tournament, Oghris is taken by Munkar's men to a prison cell while Salmaron is attacked by prison guards.

The thief is knocked into a well that leads to Munkar's harem. It is revealed that Oghris brought Deathstalker to the tournament expressly for Munkar and he is ordered to kill him.

Reluctant to kill his friend, Oghris warns Deathstalker and asks the hero to just leave the tournament but Deathstalker refuses and attacks him.

During the brawl, Oghris has the chance to draw the sword and kill Deathstalker but chooses to fight fairly and ultimately loses. Deathstalker says goodbye to the fighter and kills him.

The last day of the tournament arrives and there are only two competitors left - Deathstalker and an ogre.

After a long fight, Deathstalker kills the ogre and moves to claim his prize. He is attacked by Munkar's men but makes his way to the amulet.

The preeminent reason, of course, is boobs, or more specifically a large amount of female nudity. No one likes this film, and if they actually do, it's probably for that one, shallow reason.

The film is definitely more parodist than anything, because there are a lot of moments of unintentional hilarity throughout this film.

It also feels more like a parody than an actual action film, and that is attributed to the lesser effects and obvious dispassion towards the production.

The direction is lazy, the script doesn't even matter to the grand scheme of the entire film, and the actors obviously don't care.

The women in this film actually look as if they're trying to get through the film with whatever small amount of dignity they can, but otherwise there isn't any concern for legitimate acting in this film.

The plot runs like Dungeons and Dragons fan fiction throughout, yet there is no honor to the male characters. Even the hero is guilty of some serious crimes against women, and the rest of the men are shown as slobbering dullards who often rape, pillage, and drool.

It's not exactly horrifying to see the state of women in this film, because it's definitely an unapologetic film. The one thing that saves this film is that the film makers are obviously not being serious with the source material.

If this hadn't been a low budgeted indie film that was trying to reel in the lowest common denominator than outrage would be the appropriate emotion towards this film.

Is the film actually enjoyable? I would say in small doses it isn't a horrible film, but it's also very distracting to see all these naked women nearly raped onscreen.

There aren't even little stupid things to laugh at, only these meatheads trolling around onscreen, mashing each other's faces in.

Aug 06, Hot on the heels of the Arnie vehicle 'Conan' came this Argentine-American production which quite blatantly jumps on that very same bandwagon.

In all fairness this isn't as bad as you might think. Despite being an obvious excuse to see females topless, a Playboy model as a brutal topless female barbarian, mud wrestling females, enslaved females, thongs galore and the obligatory barbarian sex scenes Cheesy plot you say?

The main hero is played by Rick Hill and his blonde wig, very nice it is too, but he does look pretty sturdy I'll give him that.

Bernard Erhard plays the rather generic evil bald sorcerer with goatee, but his approach is nice and hammy, clearly relishing the role.

Dunno what that tattoo on his head is all about. So not much happens really, the final fight to the death warrior competition is probably the best sequence with reasonable fighting going on.

The rest is forgettable apart from the sequence in the castle with all the topless girls, but hearing Hill reel of his dialog is quite good fun.

The films title and poster are far more interesting than the final product. The poster actually has nothing to do with the film in any way really, its just there to lure you in I think.

Dec 28, It's like some kind of World of Warcraft fan made film. The quality, the content, it is all God awful but damn hilarious.

Most of the time it seems like a parody, stick Charlie Sheen in the lead and it would have been one of the best films ever made.

Funny how things work out. The puppets all look as though they were saved from a Halloween bargain bin, the sets are obviously all Styrofoam and as for the acting Every woman, when touched, has her clothes fall off.

This is an incredibly silly yet entertaining swords and sorcery flick from executive producer Roger Corman.

Richard Hill stars as Deathstalker, an oiled-up beefcake of a hero with long blond hair and a lantern jaw, who is tasked by an old witch with finding a trio of magical artifacts before the evil wizard Munkar does and can become all-powerful.

Along the way on his quest, Deathstalker meets up with a variety of friends, including a guy who starts off as some kind of goblin in a cave, another happy-go-lucky adventurer, and a warrior-woman who remains shirtless throughout played by Lana Clarkson, the B-actress who was shot dead by Phil Spector in Deathstalker is their trashy exploitation cousin.

This film has it all: a bald bad guy with a dumb tattoo on his face, a pig-man with a snotty nose, giants, lots of people with no shirts, a weird puppet monster in a box that eats fingers and eyeballs, a fighters' tournament, lots of people with no pants, gangs of mutants, silly costumes, harem girls, flashy spells, and Barbi Benton.

I was able to appreciate its good points - maybe it's just nostalgia - but most rational people will find it lurid and dumb.
