Jun 29, When Weyland Corp. The plot is rather weak, and the characters are shallow and cliched. However, the switch to desert racing adds some new energy to the series and is a refreshing change of venue.
Death Race 3: Inferno is a bit predictable, but it delivers solid action sequences and concludes the prequel story of the first Frankenstein driver fairly well.

Building on the plot of the prequel, this one offers more action that for a Straight to DVD release that is pretty good and works well as a mindless entertaining action flick.
Acting is decent at best, while the plot is good, but leaves room for improvement. It's funny the big theatrical debut of Death Race was a mediocre affair, but the sequels are better and are more interesting as well.
I personally view the sequels as fine B movies that are done right. This is a chaotic and pleasant hour and a half that fans of this series should check out.
I really liked the film, and it overcomes its flaws, by having an interesting plot and good action scenes that for a low-budget feature are pretty well done.
This film is much more fun than the original Death Race starring Jason Statham and along with the second one, is a film worth checking because the filmmakers were able to create something worthwhile for action fans.
I love action flicks, and I'm usually skeptical about Straight to DVD titles, and rightfully so, because most of the time, they are poorly made films with awful stories and poor directing and acting.
But with Death Race 3, you have a film that will certainly surprise any film lover who love mindless action, but are unsure with these films released direct to DVD.
Death Race 3 is not a perfect film, and it has plenty of flaws, but like the second one in the trilogy has an interesting plot that compliments the mindless on-screen carnage.
Death Race mediocre, but with the second one, they started to really create interesting concepts, which are appealing and ultimately fun. Alex r Super Reviewer.
Actually quite enjoyable, if you can ignore the story line. The old characters are back! I love the incorporation of death fight of female convicts, driving through town and even female driver like in the original film; I enjoyed the actions and gore a lot, it's just silly campy fun that doesn't lack good laughs.
It's a pretty good sequel and also quite well filmed for a direct-to-DVD sequel, I strongly recommend all the fans of the series to check it out.

Though in the spirit of honesty, of Death Race 3, I am not a huge fan. I copped some flak for daring to suggest that Death Race 2 was possibly better than both Death Race and Death Race Truly I stand by that statement.
There's some great themes chucked back in, as well as a brief return of Death Match from the last film.
